Community Resources

There are many different kinds of resources available in our community. School counselors often help families connect with the resources that they need. If there is something that we can do to help, please contact your student's school counselor or reach out to Brenda Schallberger at our Family-Community Resource Center located inside JWR.

BACKPACK PROGRAM

The backpack program provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all of the kids in a family over the weekend. Bags are delivered by local volunteers throughout the week to support families over the weekend. If your family could benefit from the backpack program, please reach out to your student's school counselor. Families only need to sign up a one school to get all kids in the family added to the program.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES & FEES

We know that back to school can be an expensive time for many families. If your family could use some support with purchasing school supplies this year please speak with your student's school counselor.

Families who qualify for free or reduced lunches also qualify for free or reduced school fees. To benefit from this program please complete this form in addition to the free and reduced lunch form, which can be completed electronically through Skyward by going to Food Service, Applications, then Add Application.

HOLIDAY SUPPORT

Another expensive time of year is the holiday season. Between preparing large meals for families and the giving season, many families could use some support.

There are many resources available in our local community to help support families during the holiday season with everything from food and gifts to basic needs and support with utilities.

In addition to the various community resources, Liberty hosts a Giving Tree every year to support families in our local community by collecting requested wish and need items. The Giving Tree typically goes up in our main office right before Thanksgiving Break. If your family would like to put a tag on the tree this year please reach out to a Liberty School Counselor for more information.
