Resources

Personal resources include information on counseling services in the area, anxiety and depression information, and tips on managing big emotions. There is also information on ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and how to overcome trauma.

Social resources help support students and parents with the wild world of middle school friendships. This includes resources on making and keeping healthy friendships, what a good middle school friend looks like, and how to support a friend when they are struggling.

When grades start to drop, students are overly anxious about school, or a student is struggling with all of the rights and responsibilities of being a middle school student, these resources may help.

What does your future hold? Middle school may seem too early to start thinking about life beyond high school, but there are important steps students can be taking now. Learning good study habits, exploring the different options for the future, and having a general idea of what the future may hold, will help later down the road. There are also some college scholarship options that students need to apply for in middle school.

We are blessed to live in a wonderfully supportive community with many resources for those who could use some help with food, clothing, holiday gifts, finding a counselor, and paying the bills. 

The digital world can be a scary place and is very difficult for teens to manage by themselves. The technology resources provide tips for parents to help monitor and talk with kids about their technology use.
